Green tea as a relief for nausea

Green tea is obtained from Camellia sinensis and belongs to the family theaceae and is used most popularly as beverage all over the world.

The main active ingredients of green tea include polyphenolic compounds such as epicatechin (EC), epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG), epigallocatechin (EGC) and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), all of which may be responsible for the anti-carcinogenic and anti-mutagenic activities of green tea.

There are many home remedies that are associated with green tea, it is known that many people use green tea as a relief for nausea, for treating skin and teeth and many other conditions.

Nausea is the unpleasant, painless sensation that one may potentially vomit. Vomiting is an organized, autonomic response that ultimately results in the forceful expulsion of gastric contents through the mouth. Vomiting is intended to protect a person from harmful ingested substances.

Nausea is more likely to happen in younger people than in older people with cancer. Preventing nausea is key. Once the nausea starts it is hard for it to stop.
