Horehound tea

The Romans found out about this plant centuries ago. White horehound was long held in high estimation as a tonic expectorant.

It is commonly employed as domestic remedy in chronic coughs. It is generally given in the form of infusion. It is a tea for upper respiration disorders, like asthma, coughs, sore throats and for headaches caused by sinuses.
Horehound tea is prepared by infusing 1 oz. of the herb in boiling water for an hour. Then strain the tea onto another heat proof cup.

The leaves can be discarded after the tea is soaked. Can have it with lemon and honey.
