Cardamom tea

Cardamom belongs to the family of ginger plants. It is one of the most popular spices use in Indian cooking.

Cardamom tea has made a name for itself as an expectorant. It helps resolve a persistent dry cough with little phlegm.

A drink made of cardamom and cantaloupe or honeydew melon seeds mixed together with water, honey and lemon, provides a cure for kidney and gallbladder stones and for problems with urination.

Cardamom is helpful for depression. Many have claimed benefits from using cardamom tea to fight symptoms, including feelings of sadness, hopelessness and lack of motivation.

Cardamom as a flavor
The cardamom flavor is quite compatible with coffee and tea. The major use of cardamom in Middle East countries is an additive to coffee. Cardamom tea in which cardamom power is mixed with tea powder is available on the market.
