Angelica herbal tea

The angelica plant, also called masterwort, alexanders and archangel, is a perennial, aromatic plant that grows to be anywhere from two to eight feet tall.

It’s highly prized for both its healing properties and its magical abilities.

Angelica is used as a general tonic especially for better digestion and aids in fertility. The roots are used to remove stones in the balder.

Since ancient times, angelica tea has been given to rheumatics and those who suffer from cold hands and feet because it helps stimulate blood flow.

Angelica tea also served as a tropical treatment for ulcers.

The whole plant can be used. Leaf tea is not as strong as root tea. Angelica root tea is made by soaking 1 teaspoon per cup in cold water overnight. In the morning it is warm-up and one third of the tea is taken before every meal.

It is sweet, pungent, and slightly bitter with a warm, drying energy.
