Mangosteen tea

Mangosteen is called the Asian ‘queen of fruits’, originating in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas. Mangosteen tea is an ancient native remedy to get rid of diarrhea and bladder infections.

Traditionally mangosteen is used against dysentery, diarrhea, women’s complaints, urinary disorders, cancer, arthritis, liver complaints and skin problems.
Take some mangosteen rinds, and wash them properly. Now, boil a cup full of hot water, and put the rinds into the water. Allow to boil for 3 minute. After that, allow the rinds to steep for 10 minutes before drinking the strained water.

The tea is excellent for clearing out body system from toxins. Drink the tea twice a day. In South America, a tea made with mangosteen is used as a de-worming medicine and digestive aid. In the Caribbean, a similar drink is used as a tonic for fatigue and depression.
